Mission
The mission of the
School of Economics is to develop basic and applied research, and based on
which to form human resources in this social science. The Bachelor’s Degree
program in Economics offers solid education in different areas of economic
science, such as micro- and macroeconomics, international economics, public
and private finance, econometrics, political economics, economic history,
economic models, industrial organization, and economic growth, among others.
The School of Economics is structured into an academic department that
carries out basic and applied research, following the international current
main stream theories; it is sustained and has its feedback on the more
advanced developments of the Economic Science. The professors of the
School of Economics are Faculty deeply involved on their professional
practice.
The School has implemented the Departmental Seminars in Economics and
Econometrics, where professors from our School, as well as guest researchers
from prestigious institutions, present topics on diverse areas of economics.
As the topics in those sessions can be advanced, students from the Bachelor’s
Degree program must attend as an activity to keep them in close contact with
the academic, vanguard, labor of an economist.
