León, Gto., August 10, 2017.- Dr. Marco Laurati, professor-researcher of the University of Guanajuato (UG), ascribed to the Division of Sciences and Engineering of Campus León, collaborated in "Physical Review Letters", the most important Physics magazine in the world.
The magazine is published in United States and belongs to the American Physical Society. The process to collaborate starts from receiving suggestions from the editor, and it is considered only a quarter of the proposal of the articles.
Dr. Laurati's article "Size dependent localization of polydisperse colloidal glasses", has the objective to understand that the materials known as glass or plastic are formed by microscopic particles that directly influence on their properties.
Later they created another article called "Focus" which presents the importance of the findings in this work, seen through other researchers.
In an interview, Dr. Laurati pointed out the relevance to approach to the new generations this kind of articles, he considers that "it is important for the students to see science made in Mexico is relevant in the world."
Also, the scholar mentioned that he actively works with soft condensed matter and colloidal systems; studies non-equilibrium states and mechanical properties of molecular systems, such is the case with particles with DNA used in medicine or projects of the leather industry or automotive sector.
Other researchers who have also written for "Physical Review Letters" are Dr. Julián Féliz Valdez and Dr. Ramón Castañeda Priego, also ascribed to the Division of Sciences and Engineering of Campus León.
