Guanajuato, Gto., June 14, 2019.- Dr. Francisco Javier Alvarez Torres, research professor in the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences of the Guanajuato Campus and Coordinator of the Graduate In Technological Management and Innovation, also at the Guanajuato Campus of the University of Guanajuato (UG), was accepted to publish in the journal "Management Decision" one of the most prestigious worldwide.

Dr. Alvarez Torres managed to have his article, co-authored with Dr. Giovanni Schiuma of the Universitat degli Studi della Basilicata in Potenza, Italy and Dr. Gabriela López-Torres of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Mexico, published in this major scientific journal founded in 1967 in the United Kingdom, published by Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., and Indexed in the Journal Citation Report (JCR), level Q1.

The article is called "Linking entrepreneurial orientation to SMEs' performance: Implications for entrepreneurship universities"; and talks about entrepreneurship and the concept he calls "Entrepreneurial University", and which deals with the importance of linking and developing entrepreneurship skills at the university.

It is important to mention that this is the first inclusion of a professor from the University of Guanajuato in this journal in the area of administration and innovation, and the third Mexican to do so, previously professors of the Institute of Technology and Higher Studies of Monterrey (ITESM) and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) were included in this publication.

The academic field of the journal "Management Decision" covers the following areas: business activity, business and marketing; management and management of companies and organizations; operational research and management science. It is also indexed in Scopus, Social Sciences Citation Index, Periodicals Index Online, ABI/INFORM, Business Source Premier, INSPEC, Public Affairs Index, Business Source Elite, Modern Language Association Database (MLA) and Psycinfo.
