Tierra Blanca, Gto., June 13, 2019.- At the third Symposium on Clinical Practice Care Management, students of the bachelor's program in Nursing and Obstetrics of the Northeast Interdisciplinary Center of the University of Guanajuato (CINUG), presented research projects on the health problems that occur in their localities.

Eighth-semester students developed posters of the research they carried out during the last year of their career, winning the project "Capability for adaptation and coping in the older adult stage" by students Hilda Patricia Ibarra García and Mariela Hernández Vázquez.

The second place was for the research entitled "Stress level of the informal caregiver of the child with cerebral palsy" by María Guadalupe Márquez Segura and Griselda Pérez Martínez and the third place went to Vanessa Gutiérrez Landaverde and David Emanuel Gallegos Sanchez with the theme "Effect of the use of heliopsis longipes on the regeneration of tissue from foot ulcers in patients with type 2 diabetes".

Dr. Daniel Jáuregui Vázquez, General Coordinator of CINUG inaugurated the event whose purpose was to induce the student community to support its research topic, promote scientific advancement in the practice of nursing and endorse its commitment to vocation with high humanitarian values.

During the symposium, the workshops of Vancouver-style bibliographic reference writing; Managing peripheral venous accesses and evidence-based nursing were also held. Also invited from different health institutions and academic staff participated with several presentations.

Dr. Ma. Gloria Vega Argote, Director of the Department of Nursing and Obstetrics, stressed the importance of events for outreach and congratulated the teachers of the educational program for their commitment to the community.

They coincided with the contributions of the research carried out, Dr. Alicia Alvarez Aguirre, Professor of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus; Dr. Lucero Fuentes Ocampo professor at CINUG; Master Yeymi Ramírez Roque, Nurse of the Ministry of Health and Master Ma. Eugenia Barreto Arias, professor at the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus.
