Celaya, Gto., June 17, 2019.- In order to finalize some agreements prior to the opening of the Janicho Headquarters of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the Rector of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus, Dr. Graciela Ma. de la Luz Ruiz Aguilar held a meeting with the Municipal President of Salvatierra, Lic. Alejandrina Lanuza Hernández.

The agreements that require the conjunction of efforts and wills have to do with the provision of public transport, lighting, drinking water, security, as well as the enablement of the path of access to the headquarters, among others. For this reason, those responsible for these areas were present in the City Council, as well as some rulers.

The Rector said that the access road would be enabled in the first week of July. Lic. Alejandrina Lanuza, for its part, reported that it is already feasible to provide water, electricity and municipal drainage services.

In the Public Safety part, the mayor offered to perform daily rounds around the doors of the facility. In terms of mobility, they offered the application of 50% discount on the cost of the ticket and in the future consider the possibility of concession the public transport for a direct route to the headquarters.

In two weeks there will be a new follow up meeting with whom are in charge of culture and sports, with the aim to close a deal for the coordinated and collaborative work that allows the university use the sport and cultural facilities that exist in the municipality to boost the student development programs.

Dr. Ruiz Aguilar shared that in a first stage they'll offer the degrees in Nursing and Obstetrics and Agribusiness, in addition of the the latest technology and enough adequate furniture in benefit of the student population.
