Guanajuato, Gto., June 25, 2019.- In accompaniment to the Civil Association "Smile with me", the institutional program Conciudadanía of the University of Guanajuato (UG) and students of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus will design actions for the benefit of the most vulnerable children in the state capital.

The programme, which was presented in this House of Studies, aims to provide tools that serve as the basis for comprehensive training for the men and women of tomorrow, as well as to address specific problems of children in unfavourable situations.

"Attention in clinical psychology for children in vulnerable situations of the Municipality of Guanajuato" is the program to which students from the Celaya- Salvatierra Campus reported Dr. Silvia del Carmen Delgado Sandoval, Director of the Sciences Division of the Campus Health and Engineering.

She said that workshops will be offered to parents to guide them on behavioral and psychoeducational problems "we are sure that sharing this information will allow them to better understand their situation and we will have better results".

"Child intervention will be given based on evaluation, diagnosis and, if children have characteristics by addictions or alterations of neurodevelopment, they will be channeled to institutions that are specifically created for this purpose. We will work with all those children who have fears, phobias, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, dissocial disorder, infancy shyness and excretion disorders," she added.

For her part, Lic. Martha Janet Lara González, Liaison of the Conciudadanía UG Program, recalled that these actions fulfill the fundamental objective of the same which is to influence substantive aspects of the university activity and its members, in order to promote conditions that allow them to access a better quality of life. And generate a multiplier effect in the social environment.

Arch. Samantha Smith Gutierrez, President of the Municipal DIF of Guanajuato and M. Jesús Rodrigo Guadalupe Nájera Trujillo, President of the Board of Directors of "Smile with me" A. C. celebrated the sum of wills that will allow to create an interdisciplinary group that addresses problems in the development of children and capital will help them have an encouraging future.
