Guanajuato, Gto., June 27, 2019.- Guanajuato high school students Arian Iveth Chía Hernández and Edson Nahu Lona Rodríguez excelled in national competitions obtaining important results in athletics.

In the case of Edson Lona, a fourth semester student at the ENMS of Guanajuato, he took first place with a jump of 7.08 m in the National High School Sports Games organized by the "Consejo Nacional para el Desarrollo del Deporte en la Educación Media Superior, A.C." (CONADEMS).

During this semester has obtained great results among them the national championship in long jump that was held in Chihuahua at the National Olympics held in the month of May event organized by the National Sports Commission (CONADE) with a jump of 7.11 m to win the gold medal. He also took second place in the National Championships of the Mexican Athletics Federation held in Salamanca with a jump of 7.08 m

In this way, Edson Lona concludes the semester with three medals and a long training process with his teacher Jaime Rodríguez Luna who has been a fundamental part in achieving his results, since January began trainings from Monday to Saturday in several gym and track sessions. In this regard, his coach acknowledged that he saw Edson's qualities from the beginning which prompted him to support him during this process, he stated that this result is the result of the effort, discipline and enthusiasm that the young student shows.

For his part, Arian Iveth Chía Hernández, a sixth semester student, again excelled in national competitions: at the National High School Sports Games organized by the "Consejo Nacional para el Desarrollo del Deporte en la Educación Media Superior, A.C." (CONADEMS) obtained the golden medal in the 1 thousand 500 flat test; the first place in the National Olympics that was held in Chihuahua in the 3 thousand meters with obstacles and silver medal in the 5 thousand meters flat.

Arian Chía, who completes her high school studies by setting the UG high in competitions during her three years of study, thanked her teacher Jaime Rodríguez Luna and her coach Cecilio Blancarte who have been a fundamental part in conquering these results, as well as their family and friends who have been aware of their competencies.

In this way students, promises of athletics, culminate a process of training and time dedicated to obtaining these results.
