Guanajuato, Gto., June 27, 2019.- Within the framework of the academic collaboration agreements managed by the Department of International Relations and Academic Collaboration (DRICA) of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between the University of Guanajuato and Arizona State University (ASU) of the United States, since 2008, for a new three-year term.

This new agreement, promoted by the Health Sciences Division of the León Campus, specifies as potential areas of collaboration the joint development of academic programs, joint research projects, exchange of academics and researchers and student exchange, mainly.

In addition to health sciences, this amendment includes new disciplines such as law, public administration, and business; as well as language programs, online education, higher middle education, scholarship programs, among others.

It should be noted that ASU is a public university in the state of Arizona, United States, recognized as the "most innovative" university in the country for the past three years. It is ranked in the top 100 of the most prestigious institutions internationally by the Times Higher Education.

The renewal of this Memorandum of Understanding is part of the actions that the University of Guanajuato carries out to strengthen collaboration with higher education institutions and research centers in various parts of Mexico and the world, with the to strengthen the academic, scientific and cultural activities of their community.
