With thanks and appreciation to the Members, Dr. Guerrero Agripino recognized that this exercise enriches the work of public bodies in this and other issues of relevance to society.

After disclosing the institutional context, he recalled that, at the beginning of his management and thanks to a great effort of the university community, mechanisms were established to promote gender equality in the UG, the most important being the Institutional Programme of Gender Equality from which the Violence Case Care Protocol led to and the UGénero window was established.

Great efforts were also made to raise awareness among the entire university community of gender-based violence with workshops, lectures, talks and various artistic expressions.

In this regard, it recognized that efforts should be redoubled to facilitate and open institutional possibilities for the continuation of the denunciation, working with the prospects for prevention and treatment.

It is important, he said, that the level of action of the UG is provided with maximum protection to the victim, "it is not a simple matter, it is complex, diverse and controversial"; however, firm and prudent action must be taken, with the required discretion, but also with all firmness, "we can be a benchmark for society" in resolving these cases thanks to the forcefulness in the institutional response.

In this regard, he recalled that in the recent regulatory reform carried out at the University a priority axis was full respect for human rights, and therefore the foundations for the consolidation of a culture of peace at the university level were laid.

Finally, he reiterated the recognition and appreciation "for opening the space for dialogue in a democratic and transparent field on a topic of relevance to society".

On behalf of the Members of the Commission, Congresswoman Magdalena Rosales Cruz, thanked the institutional openness to answer each of the questions present because "if we work together, we can achieve what we propose", she considered.
