(CACEI) awarded international recognition to four academic programs of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

The international accreditation of Mechanical Engineering, Communications and Electronics, Mechatronics and Computational Systems is in addition to that of the Electrical Engineering program (which was obtained in 2018), so currently the five bachelor's degrees of the Division of Engineers from the Irapuato–Salamanca Campus (DICIS) have this distinction.

During the ceremony in which this recognition was delivered, the President of the UG, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, emphasized that this achievement is the result of teamwork and highlighted the effort, commitment and academic excellence that distinguishes this community.

After making a recognition to the campus and division authorities, he highlighted the academic contribution of this entity to the University of Guanajuato, so he congratulated the community for putting up the name of the House of Studies.

He emphasized that now 100 percent of DICIS undergraduate enrollment is enrolled in programs recognized internationally for their quality, which is a sample of the consistent, permanent and progressive work that is done there.

For his part, the Rector of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, agreed that these achievements reflect the collaborative work of academics, administrators and students; while reiterated the commitment to continue to take on new challenges in the pursuit of educational excellence.

It was up to the Director of the Engineering Division, Dr. Rocío Alfonsina Lizárraga Morales, to welcome the ceremony, which brought together academics, authorities and students who entered through the Regulated Pass and Regional Equity program.

At the event, recognitions were given to the programme coordinators who obtained the accreditation.
