Guanajuato, Gto., August 1, 2019.- Representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, Rector of Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG); M. Gabriel Alejandro Andreu de Riquer, General Coordinator of Academic Development welcomed 100 students of Academic Mobility who will study in this institution in the August-December semester, in one of the six division of the campus.
They are 100 visitors, 20 national and 80 foreign; 61 are female and 39 are male from 14 countries: Germany, South Korea, Argentina, Spain, Austria, USA, Brazil, France, Chile, Japan, China, Colombia, Peru and Mexico.
Meanwhile, the country's 20 students come from the following educational institutions: la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla; the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas, the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, la Universidad de Colima, la Universidad de Guadalajara, the Universidad de Sonora, the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
Young people will take several educational programs in the campus divisions: 18 in Architecture, Art and Design (DAAD); 33 in Social Sciences and Humanities (DCSH); 28 in Administrative Economic Sciences (DCEA); eight in Law, Policy and Government (DDPG); five in Natural and Exact Sciences (DCNE) and eight in Engineering (DI).
Within the induction activities, they were given the general presentation of the Coordination of Extension and Academic Collaboration, which presides over the M. Efigenia Corona Quintero; and were presented to the academic cooperation links in the divisions of the Guanajuato Campus:
M. Martha Wario López, of DCSH; M. Ingrid Barradas Bribiesca of DCEA; M. Octavio Andrade García, of DCEA; Luis Mauricio Cruz, of DCNE; Dr. Luis Fernando Anaya Velázquez of DCNE; M. Rosario Velázquez Barrientos, of DAAD; Eng. Salvador Juárez Mosqueda, of DI and Juana Pastora Salazar Soria, of DDPG.
They were also given information on language courses by the Mtra. Martha Wario Lopez; Integral Student Development with Reynaldo Granados Ojeda and Integral Student Services with Luis Eduardo Calderón Rivas; as well as Library Service and Security.
In this approach, students receive the necessary information regarding the services offered by the University of Guanajuato; Health services, sports, cultural activities and accident insurance, among others.
