Guanajuato, Gto., August 15, 2019.- The Mexican Biosecurity Association A.C. in collaboration with the Mexican Society of Virology, A.C. and the University of Guanajuato (UG), will hold important meetings in the facilities of this House of Studies.

This is the XI International Biosafety and Bio-custody Symposium 2019 (SIBB19) which will take place from 1 to 4 September, as well as the XI National Congress of Virology from 4 to 7 September, both events in the Magnus Spaces of the Guanajuato Campus, headquarters Ivory.

The International Symposium on Biosafety and Bio-custody is a meeting specialized in the training, analysis, discussion and approach of proposals around biological safety and biological-infectious materials in Mexico and our environment.

It is aimed at professionals in human health, agricultural and industrial activities involved in biosecurity, biocontainment, biological and biotechnological risk management, related to the management of biological-infective materials. The SIBB has been organized by the Mexican Biosecurity Association A.C. since 2009.

Meanwhile, the National Congress of Virology is a biennial event that promotes better interaction and collaboration between researchers, academics and students dedicated to the study of viruses that affect human and animal health in Mexico. An essential part includes the participation of students and national and foreign researchers.

In the first days of these congresses, pre-symposium courses of between four and eight hours will take place, in small groups, on specific topics in the management of biological risk and barriers to the management of biological-infective materials.

Likewise, there will be an exhibition of commercial houses and suppliers (biological risk and virology), who will present their latest brands, products and services.

Scholarships for students.

It should be cited that the Mexican Biosafety Association A.C., aware of the need for training of undergraduate and graduate students in the area of health and activities related to the management of biological-infective materials, will grant grants to attend the XI International Biosafety and Bio-custody Symposium 2019 (#SIBB19).

There are 25 registration grants, which includes attendance at all events of the Biosafety Symposium on September 3 and 4, feeding, registration, social events, coffee-break, closing cocktail and electronic attendance record.

These scholarships will be provided to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in the following order of priority: AMEXBIO member students; students who will present free work at SIBB19 and, third, students in general.

As far as the 2019 Amexbio Scholarships are partial scholarships for technicians or professionals with accepted free work. These scholarships are only accessible to the Biosafety Symposium on September 3rd and 4th and include food, registration, coffee-break and electronic attendance record.

There will also be partial scholarships for students, depending on the capacity of the auditorium. These scholarships are only accessible to the Biosafety Symposium on 3 and 4 September and a payment of 300 pesos must be made, in addition to the grants being solely and exclusively to enter the conferences.
