Guanajuato, Gto., August 13, 2019.- In order to strengthen the business culture, the development of new technologies, and stimulate the participation of young people in these activities, the fifth edition of TALEN-TIC was carried out.

At the event organized by UG Innova Techno Park (UG INNOVA), in collaboration with the Department of Innovation, Science and Higher Education, and the Ecosystem of Linking, Innovation, Development and Application of Knowledge (VIDA UG) 64 projects were presented, which are the initiative of students from 15 higher education institutions in the state.

The authorities of the University of Guanajuato (UG) attended the General Coordinator of VIDA UG, Dr. Jesús Martínez Patiño, and the Executive Director of UG INNOVA Techno Park, Dr. Geovanni Hernández Gómez, who agreed on the need to incentivize entrepreneurial talent and reaffirmed the Study House's commitment to supporting its student community.

In the opening of the activities, SICES Undersecretary for Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Antonio Vega Corona, celebrated this initiative, which allows to identify young people with high potential for the development of innovative and oriented projects the creation of companies in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies.

To this end, an exhibition of the projects and a tour for the demonstration of prototypes were carried out, which were evaluated. Once this stage is completed, it will be defined which will receive support to link to the productive sector.

The projects presented in the fifth edition of TALEN-TIC are focused on topics such as the Internet of Things, Connectivity Industry 4.0, Big Data & Artificial Intelligence.

Also present at the event were the Director General of the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Purísima del Rincón, Dr. Mirna Ireri Sánchez Gómez and the President of the National Chamber of the Electronic Telecommunications and Technology Industry of the Information (CANIETI) Guanajuato Office, Ing. Julio Rodríguez Blanco.
