León, Gto., August 13, 2019.- For her outstanding teaching work within the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Georgina Leticia Lira Mendiola; Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and the Specialty in Family Therapy of the Campus León de la UG, she is a creditor to the 2019 National Prize for Psychology in the category of teaching work of the Mexican Federation of Psychology A.C.

With 27 years of experience as a teacher and graduate of the highest House of Studies, the M. Georgina Lira was nominated for this award along with two other people, following a series of stages he was the winner highlighting his academic journey at the UG.

The award will be made on December 15, 2019 in the city of Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo within the framework of the IX National Congress of Psychology, in addition to an economic support for the edition of a book by the publishing house of the same federation.

Dr. Georgina Lira Mendiola has collaborated on chapters of books related to teenagers of the twentieth century, mainly focused on the adolescent family, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.

Another bibliographic work in which she participated was in a chapter in co-authorship with another academic, related to the life and work of the family therapist Tom Andersen, in which a proposal is made from what was presented by the specialist.

One of Dr. Lira's next projects is to restructure the specialty in Family Therapy so that in the short to medium term she will transfer to master's degree and continue to train family therapists with academic quality and humanist sense.

On July 1st the outstanding academic received the degree of doctor in Pedagogy and next year will focus on her book with the support of the Mexican Federation of Psychology A.C.
