León, Gto., August 8, 2019.- The Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences at the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León, achieved the level of Development before the National Quality Postgraduate Census (PNPC) of the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt), which confirms its relevance to generate high-level human resources.

Dr. Joel Martínez Soto, Coordinator of the Master's In-Behavior Sciences, explained that to achieve this rank we worked in different areas to improve the quality indicators of the program which involved "tracking and implementing improvements suggested in previous evaluations of Conacyt itself and the curriculum modification corresponding to the curriculum", as well as seeking relevant work strategies to improve the teaching method, its operability and effectiveness.

He also noted that the core academic core held several sessions to reach agreements around the lines of knowledge generation and application that underpin the educational program to ensure the stability of knowledge production, academic security for students and foster the plurality of approaches.

"Graduate students and current students of this program supported in documenting their academic activities, consistently conducting evaluations of the program, the attention received from their tutors and obtaining suggestions for improvement to promote end-of-graduate efficiency."

This recognition is the product of the work of teachers and students who, committed to society, have the challenge of maintaining that educational excellence to motivate a change in society and support it with projects that generate impact in the country.

According to the Conacyt's PNPC, postgraduate development steers are those programs that have positive academic prospecting based on their improvement plan and are feasible goals to achieve in the medium term, in addition to being considered a program that generates scientific knowledge that is reported in congresses and journals of recognized international prestige.

The Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences was approved by the University Council of campus León on November 6, 2009 and it is from 2010 that the first generation of students enters. This educational program already has a total of 29 graduate students who in their academic training acquired skills and attitudes for professional practice, in the development and transmission of knowledge of psychology within the context multidisciplinary and with the capacity to solve current problems in the health, social, environmental sector, among others.

It should be noted that this master's degree has as a training strategy the scientific and humanistic teaching in a comprehensive way and the recognition by Conacyt with level of development which will imply in the next three years a constant evaluation to endorse category or achieve a higher level.

The postgraduate, which is offered at the Campus León of the UG, has an annual call for admission, to start courses in January, and a duration of two years and four months.
