Guanajuato, Gto., September 11, 2019.- Researchers, professionals and students linked to the electricity sector present their studies and development projects in the energy theme, at the International Congress of Energy CIENERGÍA 2019 of the University of Guanajuato (UG).

To be at the forefront of electrical engineering research, were invited, Dr. Enrique Acha Daza of the Tampere University of Technology (Finland); Dr. Gladys Caicedo Delgado of the Universidad del Valle (Colombia) and Dr. Alex Julca Rojas of the United Nations (UN), among others.

The Congress offered attendees four modalities of participation: master lectures, presentation in technical session, presentation in poster session and article in the Journal of Energy Identity published by the Mexican Center of Renewable Energy.

Dr. J. Merced Lozano García, on behalf of the organizing committee, explained that CIENERGY brings together for three days researchers, professionals and students with the aim of sharing their experiences and results of research projects, since the Department of Electrical Engineering is committed to promoting activities that serve as a vital complement to the knowledge of students in strategically important topics for their scientific and technological contribution.

Eng. Jorge Adolfo Pérez Guzmán, assistant manager of quality control at the Laboratory of tests and Material tests (LAPEM), referred to the challenge of having cheaper energies and reaching most of the population, using technologies more friendly to the Environment.

Dr. Jesús Martínez Patiño, Director of the Vida UG Ecosystem on behalf of the President of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, highlighted the collaboration between the Engineering Division and the Division of Life Sciences of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus to support the congress, the College of Engineers of the State of Guanajuato, the Secretary of Innovation Science and Higher Education, the Guanajuato section of IEEE and the Mexican Renewable Energy Center, as well as companies participants.

With this event the University of Guanajuato promotes the strengthening and advancement of research work on the energy issue.
