Guanajuato, Gto., September 10, 2019.- Monica Alexandra Santoyo Nieto, a student of the bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations of the Division of Administrative Economic Sciences (DCEA) of the Guanajuato Campus of the University of Guanajuato (UG), obtained the first place during her participation in the "Forum University Aqueous Space" 25th Edition of Expo Agua.

The DCEA responded to the invitation that the State Water Commission of Guanajuato (CEAG) made to the University of Guanajuato to participate in the "University Forum Space Aqueous" in its 25th edition of Expo Agua; and through the DCEA Environmental Management System Area, the division's student community was called to participate.

In this order, the student Monica Alexandra Santoyo Nieto of the Bachelor of Industrial Relations presented the project "Collecting and channeling used vegetable oil", thanks to which she obtained the first place.

The student included in the second block, which corresponds to Axis 2: "Water Culture for Sustainable Development", block in which they also highlighted the projects presented: "Sustainable development of a school garden with rainwater uptake and drip irrigation system" by the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Guanajuato (CECyTE) Acámbaro; "The Challenge of a Liter of Water a Day", by CECyTE de Pueblo Nuevo and "Manitas al Aire" of the Polytechnic University of Guanajuato.

The primary objective of the Forum is to invite the reflection and participation of students of the Middle and Higher Level in this area, to promote the water culture through proposals and practical applications that, with a project on how to solve the problem of water in their environment, with tools and knowledge acquired during their school training, express solutions and practical applications in any of the following thematic axes: Solutions for the sustainable use of water and Water Culture for Development Sustainable.
