Guanajuato, Gto., October 3, 2019.- 40 students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) were recognized at the EGEL (General Examination of Graduate Egress) CENEVAL for the Performance of Excellence Award ceremony that was held at the Telmex Auditorium, in Zapopan, Jalisco. The award of recognitions had the University of Guadalajara as the host institution.

The UG winners represent 74.07 percent of those recognized in the state of Guanajuato where 54 graduates received this recognition; the total number of national winners was 1,812.

This ceremony is attended by graduates from the different universities of the country who achieved the level of outstanding performance in all the areas that make up the EGEL.

Graduates of the bachelor's degrees in Nursing, Law, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering in Mechatronics, Food, Electrical, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Marketing, Social Work, Nutrition and Accounting from the University of Guanajuato obtained this recognition for the period January-June 2019.

The event is organized by the National Evaluation Center (Ceneval) in order to promote the culture of merit and excellence in the country's Higher Education Institutions (IES).

The CENEVAL Performance of Excellence Award is awarded to those who demonstrate sustainable skills and knowledge in their disciplinary area. The General Examinations for graduate egress (EGEL) allow graduates to demonstrate the skills with which they graduate from the top level.
