UG high school students will have a master class by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra

Guanajuato, Gto., October 7, 2019.- As part of the pairing of Guanajuato University (UG) with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, it will give a master class to the Guanajuato High School Symphony Orchestra (OSENMSG).

This was announced at a press conference in which the Director of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato, M. José Osvaldo Chávez Rodríguez recognized the high school (ENMS) of Guanajuato for carrying out the necessary arrangements for the students to receive a class from musicians who have a wide history.

As part of the results of this master class, the young musicians of the Guanajuato High School Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert on Friday, October 11 at 10:00 a.m. in their school's auditorium, where they will perform works of renowned composers such as Beethoven and Brahms.

The director of OSENMSG, M. Pedro Benito Tudón Toledo emphasized that the Montreal Symphony Orchestra is recognized as one of the best in the world and that it is under the baton of Kent Nagano, which is characterized by its intelligence in orchestral conducting. Students at ENMS in Guanajuato will have the opportunity to take a class with the deputy principal, Thomas Le Duc-Moreau.

The Director of Guanajuato High School, Psych. Juana Silvina Galván Rocha mentioned that this activity will have the participation of around 180 students and alumni of that institution and added that young people are very excited that this international meeting will take place, "we are pleased that our students have the opportunity to live these experiences."

Finally, on behalf of the Director of the High School College, Dr. J. Merced Rizo Carmona; the Extension, Liaison and Disclosure Coordinator of the High School College, Eng. José Iván Sandoval Soto indicated that this event strengthens cultural outreach and at the same time, it is fostered in the student community, art and musical interpretation, which is why he highlighted the efforts of the high school of Guanajuato to ensure that its students have a comprehensive background.
