Guanajuato, Gto., October 8, 2019.- Luis Javier Sánchez Pinzón, student of Digital Arts at the University of Guanajuato (UG) obtained the first place in the Contest of Challenges that was held as part of the activities developed within the framework of the XXI Regional Linking Forum, organized by the Linking Network of the West Central Region of ANUIES having as its headquarters the UTEG University Center in the city of Guadalajara, Jal.

The challenge was proposed by the Association "SANE A.C. (Health, Food, Nutrition, Education)" and consisted in developing an App that would allow real-time advice to mothers who are in pregnancy and breastfeeding the benefits of lactating and adequate food and nutrition in this period, through trained and up-to-date advisors to position the work of health professionals in this area.

Of the 4 teams that participated to meet this challenge, the winning project was "Safe Lactation", which was developed by Luis Javier Sánchez Pinzón student of the Bachelor of Digital Arts of the Engineering Division of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, together with the student José Manuel Garrido Torres of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, whose competitive advantage was to have the function of reminding mothers who are breastfeeding activities that benefit them in their health during that stage, such as drinking water, feeding every given time, etc.

From October 2 to 4, 2019, the institutions that are part of the Liaison Network of the Central West Region of ANUIES gathered to carry out the XXI Regional Liaison Forum, which is a space for higher education institutions (IES) partners to share experiences with each other and with the productive, social and governmental sectors on the role of liaison, during these days there were conferences and workshops with the theme "Strengthening and development of the academy generating a culture of comprehensive bonding."

Among the activities developed is the Contest of Challenges for Students, which consisted of two organizations in the productive sector posed the challenge of a problem to be solved, so the dynamics of the contest was to integrate teams multidisciplinary and inter-agency, who for a day and a half developed ideas to be presented to the evaluation committee and the organizations that raised the challenge.

The development of these activities contributes to the integral training of students approaching the work environment and addressing real problems that impact society.
