Guanajuato, Gto., October 16, 2019.- For the third consecutive year, high school students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) participated in the Cultural Academic Exchange with the French lycées of Saint Joseph in Vendôme and Sainte Marguerite in Chambray-Lès-Tours.
The delegation, made up of ten high school students (ENMS), was accompanied by the teachers Rocío Rubio Rivera of the ENMS Salvatierra and the M. Juana Beatriz Ortiz Ciénega of the ENMS León.
The exchange was aimed at developing a project between the French lycées and the students of the different Schools, making short cultural stays and improving the learning of French.
This visit strengthened the collaboration liaison with French lycées for the benefit of students from both countries. Within the activities of the delegation they knew the lycées and participated in academic and cultural activities; they also completed a program that allowed them to recognize and study French history, architecture, customs, traditions and gastronomy.
This is the third consecutive year of the visit of high school students to the Lycée Sainte Marguerite and the second to the Lycée Saint Joseph de Vendôme.
At the Lycée Sainte Marguerite, the exchange focused on the theme of water culture when visiting an ecological purification plant by Opure and the eco-responsible company Navoti, also in the creation of a collaborative garden and management of Light biodiversity and river dynamics to discover water problems in the Loire River.
The students who participated in the stay are Esteban Isaí Rangel Alvarado, Frida Carolina Moreno Fuentes, Jimena Gaytán Bocanegra, Regina Alba Miranda, Karla Mitsuko Namihira García, Catalina López Villalobos, Carlos Emilio Zavala Haro, Miriam González Martínez, Yessua Zabdiel Castro López, Christian Sujham Silva Rodríguez.
The visit concluded where the students recognized the support provided to make the stay in the European country; they also thanked the UG authorities for making these agreements that allow them the opportunity to learn about another country and its culture.
