León, Gto., October 17, 2019.- In order to encourage in children, and the youth population, music education through a comprehensive training program, an intentional letter of collaboration agreement was signed to support the work of the Young Leaders Orchestra of the Bajío System.

The Department of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the National Music Development System (SNFM) through the Government of the State of Guanajuato and the participation of the Cultural Forum Guanajuato and the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León committed to work together to achieve this goal.

This orchestra has its beginnings in 2016, has four generations of students that today consolidates as a school orchestra and supports talents that excel in music to, in the future, enter bachelor's degree studies in music.

Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of the Campus León, said that UG works the social responsibility of artistic and cultural projects focused on the formation of citizens such as the Project of Young Leaders Orchestra.

Also, M. Eduardo García Barrios, National Coordinator of the (SNFM) shared that this project is the crystallization of a dream and sum of wills; emphasized that music is one of the most sublime ways in which human beings have managed to order reality.

He said that the Young Leaders Orchestra of the Guanajuato Bajío System seeks the integral formation of its members including parents and teachers, through the collective practice of music; mentioned that there is a methodology and order for each of the members.

He appreciated the collaboration of the Forum Cultural Guanajuato and the UG for facilitating the actions of this project and forming a community of institutions.

Subsequently, Dr. Arturo Joel Padilla Córdova, Director of the Forum Cultural Guanajuato commented that this support in conjunction with the University of Guanajuato will allow to be part of the formation of the youth of the community orchestras.

María del Pilar Rodríguez, Director of the Imagina Orchestra, was also present at the presídium; Lorena García Director of the Fox Center Orchestra; M. Oscar Argumedo Gutiérrez, coordinator of the Bajío System and M. Jaime Ruiz Lobera, Director of the Teatro del Bicentenario "Roberto Plasencia Saldaña".

It is important to mention that other institutions that are part of this alliance are the Centro Cultural Imagina A.C., Aguilares A.C and Centro Fox A.C.
