Guanajuato, Gto., October 21, 2019.- In order to acquire the knowledge, tools and skills that drive the liaison for the attention of the needs of the industry, the inauguration of the diploma "Training of research articulators for the sector was carried out "ALÍATE" program.

In this diploma academics from the University of Guanajuato, the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos and the Autonomous University of Querétaro participate. Attendees will carry out the research detonator project approach for the company and follow-up activities; identify academic groups that have lines of research related to the needs of companies.

They will also create networks of allies in the business, industrial, academic, research groups and government institutions ecosystems. Another indispensable activity will be the search for funding mechanisms for research projects, as well as the monitoring of ALÍATE program projects.

Guillermo Fernández de la Garza, Executive Director of the Mexico United States Science Foundation (FUMEC) who is instrumental in the organization of the event mentioned that this diploma will take advantage of the experiences that will be shared by the staff of "Mitacs" a Canadian non-profit research organization that, in partnership with academia, private industry, and the government, operates research and training programs in fields related to industrial and social innovation.

The Executive Director of FUMEC indicated that one of the main objectives of the diploma is to help postgraduate students do internships in companies supported by university research groups.

He indicated that we live in a time when there is a giant wave of information and there is a change taking place that we do not yet know what it is going to lead us. That's why he stressed that companies need to build on technological advances with the inclusion of trained staff that can compete globally.

"We need companies to be able to leverage the knowledge of universities while employing graduates with good conditions."

It is important to note that "ALÍATE" is a mechanism that aims to link graduate students with MiPyMEs to detonate technological and innovation capacity in companies, through the execution of specific research, innovation and supported by the mentoring of university research groups," as mentioned on their website.
