It should be noted that, on behalf of the UG, the debate team participated with 3 teams in the general category, 3 teams in the master's category and 3 contractors. The team formed by Luis Felipe Guerrero Orozco (law student) and Alejandro González Orduña (student of Economics) was placed as one of the best teams in the general category however it was their first experience in a tournament of debate of this Type.

Also, in the master's category, the team composed of Sahian Rachel (law student) and José Cruces (student of Political Science) placed as one of the best in that category.

José Cruces Hernández had a great performance as a contractor as, when evaluated, managed to position himself as a leading judge in one of the preliminary rounds and selected as a contractor in the quarter-final round, thus reaching the semi-final of that tournament. While Sebastian Bravo (Industrial Relations student) qualified for the quarter-final round as a contractor.
