Guanajuato, Gto., November 4, 2019.- Undergraduate Students in Hispanic Letters from the University of Guanajuato (UG) organize the first National Meeting of Literary Magazines "Fernando Benítez" (ENAREL) that will be held on November 7 and 8 with the purpose of creating a space to speak the importance of literary publications.

The event will be developed thanks to the efforts of the organized group "Pigmalión" made up of literature students who in two days of activities will bring together the editorial projects that constitute the apex of the current literary movement in Mexico.

The seventh semester student of the Bachelor's Degree in Hispanic Letters and member of the group "Pigmalión", Mariana Estrada Gaytán commented in interview, the first meeting is aimed at both writers and visual artists interested in collaborating in some editorial project and be part of a literary magazine both independent and institutionalized. It is also aimed at anyone who wants to know a little more about the creation and editing of magazines.

Mariana Estrada indicated that the first National Meeting of Literary Magazines "Fernando Benítez" will have four axes: New perspectives, young literary magazines; Literary projects with a long history; Conversations about the work of the editor; and Retrospective, literary magazines in Guanajuato.

Among the literary projects with a long history the meeting will bring together magazines such as "Luvina" of the University of Guadalajara, "La palabra y el hombre" of the Universidad Veracruzana and "Partida de la Centro de Partida" of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Likewise, the student mentioned that the meeting will be held in four venues: the former convent of Valenciana, the Iconographic Museum of Quixote, the Library of the University of Guanajuato and the Armando Olivares Carrillo Library.

Finally, he emphasized that this initiative will have as guests the literary projects of San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Veracruz, Mexico City, León and Guanajuato capital.
