Guanajuato, Gto., November 26, 2019.- High school professors at the University of Guanajuato (UG) participated in the Latin American Conference on Abandonment in Higher Education (CLABES), at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia.

Rolando Ramos Reyes, Diego Armando Nicasio Tovar, Miguel Ángel Ruíz Torres & Bertha Lucía Robledo Muñoz from HS (ENMS) Centro Histórico León; Esperanza García Torres & Elsa María Vázquez García from HS San Luis de la Paz; as well as César Augusto Linares López from HS Moroleón were the professors-researchers who participated in the conference.

The objective of the event was to bring together teachers, educational authorities and students from Latin American countries, concerned about aspects related to the quality of teaching and the abandonment of studies.

In addition to deepening knowledge about the problem of abandonment, prediction models and analysis of associated factors.

The professors participated in presentations and showed the posters, as well as sharing the research project they are carrying out with the university community of the upper middle level.

The participating professors commented that this type of congresses are important because it allows them to know what is being done in Latin America in educational matters, in addition to listening to and valuing experiences inside and outside the classroom so, in this way, share teaching-learning experiences for the benefit of students, faculty and the University of Guanajuato's own high schools.
