Salamanca, Gto., a 20 de enero del 2016.- Dr. Robert N. Lussier, professor of Springfield College in Massachusetts and business consultant, gave a research workshop to professors of the Business Management degree from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca from the University of Guanajuato.
In the workshop given at the Division of Engineering (DICIS), professors learned the statistical terminology and how to use a decision tree to select the appropriate statistical test, besides they received orientation that can help them get published.
Besides the academy, Dr. Lussier is a consultant for profit and non-profit organization in the United States of America. He is a doctor in Management from the School of Business from New Haven university, with a master's in Business Management from Suffolk University. In his academic production he has written 44 book chapters, author of 66 indexed articles and his publications are a referent in the business schools.
The workshop for college professors was organized by the Academic Secretary and the coordination of the Business Management degree, by initiative of the professor of the Department of Art and Business, Dr. Judith Banda Guzmán, who reached out to the professor derived from the interest in his textbooks.
This course allowed to update professors in the Business Management degree. They form the students in the development of businesses, economy, entrepreneurship, marketing, etc. With the use of contemporary academic material, such as the one generated by Dr. Lussier, who besides advising businesses, he is in touch with researchers from 67 countries in his area of knowledge.
During his visit to the Division of Engineering, he interviewed with the Rector from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Ernesto Alfredo Camarena Aguilar, who explained to the consultant that UG creates graduates competitive in Business Management to take on and help others to start or innovate businesses in a global environment, capable of designing and implementing strategies with a focus on social responsibility.
