Guanajuato, Gto. January 18, 2016-. The "Asociación Mexicana de Centros de Enseñanza Superior en Turismo y Gastronomia A.C. (AMESTUR) granted the award for the merit of academic performance to Ada Isabel Cortés Aboytes, student of the ninth semester in the Touristic Resources Management degree from the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences (DCEA).

This distinction means that Cortés Aboytes is the best tourism student from the I.E.S. affiliated to AMESTUR, hence, she was awarded with this recognition in last year's November in the framework of the International Congress of Touristic and Social-cultural Animation 2012.

It is important to mention that it is the first time the recognition for the merit of academic performance is given among the institutions affiliated to AMESTUR, and was granted to the best student with an outstanding academic performance and trajectory. Each institution presented their candidates.

In Ada Isabel's academic trajectory his participation as organizer in many events within the degree stand out and from which the most important events were the "VIII Foro Regional de Animación Turistica AMESTUR-CONAET", the "Rally Turistico" in its third edition and the "II Simposio de Patrimonio y Ciudades Históricas".

Likewise, she has participated as a speaker in the "Congreso de Estudiantes de Turismo (COESTU) and has been part of many researches in the University where mainly stand out the one called "Diagnóstico de las necesidades de capacitación tecnológica del Sector turistico de la Ciudad de Guanajuato" presented before SEDETUR (Secretaria de Desarrollo Turistico) and currently "Gestión Turística de los grandes recursos monumentales del Estado de Guanajuato".

AMESTUR is an association with a long trajectory of more than 30 years in promoting and encouraging the knowledge generation networks between students and professors in a national and international level in different topic in the tourism area.
