León, Guanajuato August 22, 2016.- On August 24, 25 and 26, at the Department of Cultural Studies, from the venue Forum, will have place the 3rd Intl. Biennial "Territories in Movement: power, culture, and development," organized by the professors from the three departments of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato.

The event has the purpose to divulge and debate the results of the research on social, political and cultural dynamics that occur in the territory; from the local and in a space of academic reflection.

In this third edition will gather professors, students and researchers from different national and foreign institutions, such as the Universida de Alcalá de Henares, Spain; Boston College, US; UNAM; Universidad Veracruzana; Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social; Universidad de Guadlajara; Universidad de La Salle; Universidad de la Ciénega del Estado de Michoacán; Universidad Iberoamericana; Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro; Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán; Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas, among others.

Jointly, there will be the participation of remarkable researchers as master speakers: Dr. Alicia Ziccardi, UNAM; Dr. José Manuel Pedrosa, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, Spain; Dr. Nelson Portillo, Boston College, US.

Also, the professors, students and researches will have the opportunity to exchange postures and debate topics of actual interest, through distinct work tables such as: technology and innovation in the cities; business strategies; government and society; migration; vulnerability, violence and risk conducts; inequality; women and men work; traditions; art; culture; citizenship and un-citizenship; democratic processes in Mexico and Latin America; social memory; religion in Latin America and the Caribbean; Identity and symbolic territoriality.

In addition, during the three days of the event, there will be a photo show, a guitar concert, book presentations and a work session of the "León Metropolitano" project.
