Guanajuato, Gto., August 23, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) is the first educational institution in the entity that contributes formally to the encouragement of the collegiality of the graduates by signing a collaboration agreement with the Council of Professionals of the State of Guanajuato (COPREG for its acronym in Spanish).

Besides the strengthening of the collegiality, continuous updating, certification and professional evaluation, such agreement seeks to have an assertive insertion of the professionals into the job market and with it, contribute to the development of society.

The General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, made public that the Maximum House of Studies reaffirms its commitment to participate in this council and offer the effort and willingness to answer the needs that society demands.

He mentioned that currently is being installed a Council by knowledge areas at UG, with the purpose to have greater communication between different disciplines that congregate aspects in common.

With this collaboration, UG will promote within the university community the legal professional exercise, the divulgation of the collegiality and the conformation of college of professionals under the applicable regulation in the state.

COPREG's President, Eng. Gabriel Falcón Anaya, expressed that an institution such as UG is fundamental in the processes of professional certification, be that as an evaluative, training instance or through academic events for continuous formation. He was convinced that the bonds will contribute in the integration of a model of preparation and will function to reach the proposed objectives.

The Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, Eng. Eusebio Vega Pérez, highlighted that the permanent formation, evaluation and certification constitute as fundamental elements to increase the graduate's employability.He affirmed that the agreement strengthens the development opportunities and expectations for the professionals.

He added that this will benefit 223 municipal professional colleges and 19 in the state, therefore, more than 13,500 professionals who belong to those and more than 30,000 that work in the state.

COPREG is a consultant and support organism to the state of Guanajuato's government which collaborates in the fulfillment of the dispositions of the Law of Profession for the state of Guanajuato and their regulations.
