Guanajuato, Gto., August 26, 2016. With the purpose to expedite administrative processes and improve the attention given to students and faculty from the University of Guanajuato (UG), it was revealed the suppression of documentation --hence, payments—related with obtaining academic degrees and documents to make negotiations insider the institution.

The previous, was a result from two agreements issued by the General Rector of UG, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, who making use of his conferred faculties by the Organic Law substituted administrative procedures for internal verification processes.

Better attention to students

Starting August 23 of the current year, to obtain the degree, it will be no longer necessary that college students obtain a letter of professional service, no debt record in library, no debt in treasury, and issuing of records. Therefore, it will be no longer n3ecessary to pay for such documents.

These procedures are fundamentally done so a student can get the degree, however, the General Rectory considered that from now own, only a declaration from the student should suffice where he manifests having covered this requirements, so the administrative personnel in charge of the procedure make the proper internal verification.

Equally, by instruction from the General Rector, it is suppressed the fee to withdraw documents, since they belong to the students and the University of Guanajuato doesn't provide any service by returning them.

Expedite procedures for professors

Likewise, to support the academic personnel that makes negotiations within the institution (related with enjoying benefits, stimulus or benefits derived from the collective contract of work, among others) starting from August 23, they will be released of the document procedures generated or be in safeguard of the administrative dependencies at UG.

This agreement issued by General Rectory will not be applicable in case such scholar requires documents before instances who are external to the University of Guanajuato.
