Guanajuato, Gto., September 1, 2016.- For the seventh year in a row, the Cinema Club of the University of Guanajuato (UG), presents the Short Film Show of Guanajuato "Ay! Guana Shorts!" which will exhibit productions of local filmmakers from September 5 to 8 in the Euquerio Guerrero auditorium.

This show reaffirms the objective to show the capability and talent from Guanajuato, as well as their push of the seventh art in Guanajuato, in Mexico and the world.

It also seeks, to make a retrospective reflection on the situation of the local creators in the cinema since the seventh art implies not only the search for financing, it also demands to gather talent, the sufficient technical equipment and, above all, have a good script.

The seventh edition of "Ay! Guana Shorts!" also represents an opportunity to expose the unarguable evolution of the work from the creators who live in Guanajuato; that their stories, technical resources and global quality have augmented.

In this sense, it is enough to watch the work done by the local creators in the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) through the Sample of Identity and Relevance, the Rally and the Official Selection of Guanajuato; and take a look to the work from Guanajuato that every time compete more and more in International Festivals and participate in shows, achieving national and international projection.

For the organizers, the talent is not a matter of regions, but the push you get by having a motivated and trained youth in cinematography, is noted, hence, with this Short film show, the people of Guanajuato can feel proud of having high quality creators.

It is important to mention that all projections are free and are aimed for 15+ years old.
