Guanajuato, Gto., September 2, 2016.- This year, the University's Medical Network of Guanajuato (UG) celebrates its XX anniversary, years where it has positioned as one of the most valued benefits among the university workers.

With this purpose, there were carried out the Medical Journeys of the University Medical Network 2016, which recognized the work of the medics that have collaborated with this health service through the years.

The Journeys have the purpose to update the medics in an agreement with the Network, to guarantee a better quality attention to the users.

UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, recognized who has made possible this projects. He pointed out that having a medical network in a university must not be only the offering a medical service, it must present a particular form to orient health policies and services so it can become a referent for society.

The University Medical Network's Director, Dr. Daniel Perez Cervantes, mentioned that it has sustained the ideals for the last 20 years of work and added that it has generated new mechanisms in function of the health demand of the population.

Likewise, recognized the work and dedication of the medics to preserve the health of the university community, and highlighted that the Medical Network will continue of the path of continuous adaptation for the new challenges society imposes.

The Secretary of Management and Development, M.A. Jorge Alberto Romero Hidalgo, reminded the beginning of the Medical Network and recognized who made this scheme possible, that today is a national referent. He remarked an evident strength of the same are the agreement with diverse regional and national hospitals.

He expressed that currently they are making a thorough review of the operation guidelines of the Medical Network together with syndical associations of the University with the purpose to update them.

Representing the State Governos, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, the Secretary of Health of the State of Guanajuato, Dr. Ignacio Ortíz Aldana, thanked the opportunity to be a part of the Medical Network, since this has represented a spear head in a national level and highlighted that in the subject of health, it is necessary to bet on the prevention and promotion.
