León, Gto., September 3, 2016.- As a result of the reforesting project made by Campus Leon of the University of Guanajuato, it was rewarded with the certificate "Ecologic Flag 2015-2016," granted by the City Hall of Leon, through the General Direction of Environmental Management.

The University of Guanajuato is engaged with the construction of a better environment, through the protection and conservation of the environment. With this objective, the reforesting project was conformed in the different spaces of the venue San Carlos of Campus Leon.

The certificate "Ecologic Flag 2015-2016" was granted derived from the institution's evaluation, which fulfilled with activities such as environmental education, water care, efficient use of water, residue handling, and social participation.

It is important to mention that this is the third time they receive this certificate, which is granted to institutions that complete the 75% of the activities. Obtaining this certificate implied a teamwork among students, professors, administrators, as well as society in general.

Representing Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus Leon and Lic. Rocio Martínez Pacheco, who was accompanied by the student Vladimir Reyes Vargas, of the degree in Public Management, received the Ecologic Flag certificate from the hands of Ricardo de la Parra, Director of Environment from the Municipal Presidency of León.
