Guanajuato, Gto., September 3, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) will receive the best volleyball exponents this next September 5th, who will compete in the international sport event III Pan American Cup Sub 23 of Male Volleyball 2016.

The Auditorium "The Hive," at Yerbabuena, will the place where nine selections of Guatemala, Trinidad & Tobago, Santa Lucía, Dominical Republic, Cuba, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina, will dispute the first place in this competition from September 5 to 10.

In this tourney participate selections that just had activity in the past Olympics in Rio 2016, and who with no doubt will be in Tokyo 2020. This represents a motive to encourage the students from the University of Guanajuato to practice any sport discipline that they are interested on.

For the first time, this sport event will be held in Guanajuato and UG is part of the organizing committee, they included in the staff the university athletes of the Volleyball team, with the purpose to join efforts with the State's Sport Commission (CODE), main responsible of this tournament in the city.

The Sub 23 Pan American Cup is a classification for the Sub 23 World Competition, in addition, it congregates the best exponents in volleyball ascribed to The North, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA), which is the continental confederation, that represents the country members at the level of the International Federation of Volleyball (FIVB).

The court "Professor Arturo Larios" located at the Central Building will the training area for the different volleyball teams, who will use this sport facility from 08:00 to 18:00hrs. It is important to mention that they will closed trainings.

While the official matches of this cup will be from September 5 to 7 in the schedule of 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00; on September 8, there will be 4 games at 14:00, 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00; the final matches will be from September 9 to 10 with schedules of 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00.

The general entrance cost to the Auditorium of Yerbabuena "The Hive," is $20.00 MXN by day for the regular games and $50.00 MXN by day for the finals.

For the opening of the sport event, on Monday 5th, there is an invitation to all public at 17:00hrs in the Auditorium "The Hive", where the cultural participation will be in charge of the Estudiantina of the University of Guanajuato and afterwards will begin the opening game between Mexico and Guatemala.
