
Guanajuato, Gto., September 9, 2016. With the purpose to expedite paperwork and improve the attention offered to students and academic personnel of the University of Guanajuato (UG), it was revealed the suppression of administrative paperwork –and therefore, of payments—related with obtaining academic degrees and documents to negotiate support within the institution.
The previous, as a result from two agreements issued by UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, who making use of the faculties conferred by the Organic Law, suppressed the administrative paperwork by internal verification processes.
They ease obtaining a degree
To obtain a degree, is no longer required that the college students obtain a professional service letter, no-debt record at the library, no-debt record at the treasury and record issuance. Hence, it will no longer be necessary to pay to obtain such documents.
These paperwork is fundamentally made so a student can obtain the degree however, from now on it will suffice with a declaration from the student where he or she manifests to have fulfilled these requirements, so the administrative personnel in charge of the paperwork proceed to the internal verification of the same.
The validation of no-debt to libraries –which is part of the process of the reception exam--, can be requested from the student's portal: www.alumnos.ugto.mx with the purpose to avoid the issuance and fee of the document. For any doubt on the matter, you can go to the personnel of libraries in the corresponding venue.
Equally, by instruction of the General Rector, the fee to withdraw documents is suppressed, since they belong to the students and the University has no service by returning them.
