
León, Gto., September 9, 2016.- With the motive of the tenth anniversary of the Cultural Forum Guanajuato, Campus León of the University of Guanajuato was part of the celebration with activities made in the venue Forum.
The place of the encounter was the Jorge Ibargüengoitia Auditorium where the master conference "History of the women through photography: the twenty years of the last century" was held, with the participation of Dr. Rebeca Monroy Nasr; outstanding researcher of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
Dr. Monroy made an analysis of photographs where she pointed out the role of the women through time, as well as stereotypes of the female gender throughout history. Likewise, highlighted the performance of the women in areas where previously there wasn't any and the path that took their participation in México.
Equally, it was inaugurated the photo expo Female Vanguards photographs from the Gustavo Casasola archive which has 30 pieces that document historical, social and cultural events in the country.
The photo expo of the Gustavo Casasola archive captures aspects and contrasts of the female everyday life and works as a documentary witness of national history.
It is important to mention that Lic. Marcela Mena, graduate from the degree in Culture and Art of Campus León participated as a curator of the expo which will be held until Sept 30th.
On the other hand, there was a Jazz concert with the participation of the Ensemble Obsidiana which is integrated by graduates from the University of Guanajuato, who shared their music with the attendants for about an hour in the walkway of Arts of the Cultural Forum Guanajuato.
