Guanajuato, Gto., September 12, 2016.- The professor from High School Silao, Dr. José Merced Rizo Carmona, was assigned to the Level I of the National System of Researchers (SNI) for his work in the field of original research.

The professor at the University of Guanajuato (UG), is the first professor of the high school college (CNMS), to obtain this distinction from SNI.

Dr. Rizo Carmona, who defines research as the search for truth in different ambiences of human knowledge, precise that, in addition of planting questions, you need reflection to propose answers. In this context, his academic interest is to link research of philosophy with education, fields where he has developed national and international publications, in addition of own or in collaboration books.

"It is an achievement for CNMS because until now there is no professor that has this distinction, because at High School you require a lot of effort to make research, since teaching is our main function," remarks the HS Silao professor.

Likewise, he mentions that this achievement turns into a motivation for his peers in the area of teaching and also for the students, because "when you constantly work with discipline, you can reach the sought objectives," he pointed out.

It is worthy to mention that SNI has the objective to recognize the labor of the people dedicated on producing scientific knowledge and technology. This distinction is granted through peer evaluation and consists on granting the appointment of national researcher.

To finalize, Dr. José Merced, thanked the support from UG, because this has been a fundamental part in his professional, academic and personal formation. He also emphasized that the students are who encouraged them to consolidate his teaching, research and extension labor.
