León, Gto., September 14, 2016.- To answer the students' petitions of the educational program of Medical Surgeon Phase 2 of the University of Guanajuato, a group of students gathered with the Rector of Campus Leon, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, to address the problems related with positions at the clinical fields in the High Specialty Medical Unit UMAE 1.

At the gathering was remarked the main purpose of a clinical field which is the medical attention of the National Health System or some of its areas to have all the required elements to create the educational scenario that allows to develop academic programs of the study plan from the medicine degree.

Dr. Hidalgo Valadez commented to the thirteen representative students of the medicine degree that works with the corresponding university instances so, as an executive authority of Campus, be who signs the necessary agreements of health institutions considered as clinical fields.

It was informed that today there will be a meeting with the Director of the Division of Health Sciences of Campus Leon, Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos; the Academic Secretary of the Division of Health, M.A. Cipriana Caudillo Cisneros; the representative of the University Procurator of Academic Rights, Lic. Oscar Páez Gómez and the Director of UMAE 1, Dr. Manuel Pacheco Ruelas, to determine the actions that allow to expedite the enrollment to clinical fields of the students.

Likewise, the Campus' Rector informed that Dr. Ignacio Ortiz Aldana, Secretary of Health of Guanajuato, has shown interest in supporting the students in this problem; as well as Dr. Efraín Navarro Olivos, Director of Teaching and Research of the Secretary of Health.

Finally, Dr. Hidalgo Valadez reiterated his support and accompaniment to the students as an authority and as a professor, and was agreed that next week there will be a second reunion to review the progress on this problem's solution.
