
Guanajuato, Gto., September 19, 2016.- "You say that tourism is the industry of hospitality. We would say that you are from Guanajuato, the professor of hospitality." That was how the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, defined the figure and work of Lic. Mario Aguado Malacara, during the presentation of his book "Tratado Elemental de Turismo."
This warm ceremony, was held in the Hall of Acts of the Division of Law, Politics and Government, attended personalities such as the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera; the Director of the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences, Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López and the Professor of the degree in Touristic Produce, M.A. Omar Trejo Luna Puente.
In an ambience of intimacy and camaraderie, the gusts used the presentation of the work to homage one of the most outstanding figures in the tourist area of the city of Guanajuato. Who, in addition of having occupied public charges, he is founder of the degree in Tourism.
Hence, Prof. Omar Trejo Luna Puente didn't hesitate in remarking that besides deepening in questions such as: what is tourism? Or How do you maintain the knowledge of tourism? This work is aimed to form generations of college students interested in the topic.
"I agree with Mario that to work in that sector the first thing you need is love for the activity, have a business and work calling, be respectful, take care of the environment, preserve the natural, historical and cultural resources. This is done with the end to build a clean and safe city, accessible for all people," assured the professor.
On his part, the author of work, thanked his family, friends and characters that influenced him along a life dedicated to tourism. Assured that the purpose of his book is to generate a sense of belonging, revalue the pleasure of serving and make his readers dream.
Therefore, he announced that he will donate all the profits generated by the sale of this book edited by himself so it can help scholarships and benefit programs.
In this sense, the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera thanked for the work to be directed for the public and that it addresses consequent topics to the discipline as strategies for the creation of new jobs, reactivation of economy, as well as the joint work with other study areas.
Tools, that according the Rector, allow us to improve the service, professionalize the activity and the path to create and recreate new touristic routes.
Finally, the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino assured that this publication exposes an intellectual contribution on the profession of the author, but above all, on his life that is tourism itself.
This text of divulgation, he assured, has no demands, but the intention to share the experience and altruist love for tourism. Which, he finalized, we have as universitarians.
