Guanajuato, Gto., September 20, 2016.- With the objective to reveal the educational programs that are taught at the Division of Engieering (DI), there was the VI Edition of the University Fair of Engineering in the venue San Matías of Campus Guanajuato.

During the opening ceremony, DI's Director, Dr. Luis Enrique Mendoza Puga, referred that the activities of the fair allow the future students to know the educational programs of the most required professions and best paid today.

In her moment, Dr. Claudia Gutiérrez Padilla, Academic Secretary of Campus Guanajuato, representing the Rector of Campus, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta, exhorted the young to know DI's educational programs, where they have engineering in Environment, Civil, Geomatics, Hydraulics, Mines, Metallurgy and Geology, whose quality is proven by the Accreditation Council of Teaching Engineering (CACEI).

The sixth edition of this fair had the attendance of 250 high school students from Salvatierra, Moroleón, Irapuato, León, among other cities; who, through workshops, information stands and guided visits, knew the enrollment profile and work field of the degrees offered at DI.

It is worth to mention that according the last enrollment study to UG's educational programs, almost 20% of the students who attended the Engineering Fair made the decision to study one of the degrees taught at the division, hence, it consolidates as a strategy to boost the fulfillment of the goals of the PLADEC Campus Guanajuato and the Development Plan regarding the increase in the enrollment of degree programs.
