Guanajuato, Gto., September 21, 2016.- With the presentation of nearly 200 research projects in the areas of engineering, biology, exact sciences, environment, health sciences, economic-administrative sciences, social sciences and humanities, and technology; the 4th encounter of Young Researchers is being developed. Summoned by the University of Guanajuato (UG) through the Direction of Support for Research and Postgraduate (DAIP).
It was the job of Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, UG's Academic Secretary, representing the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino; to inaugurate the encounter where youth in the last year of the degree participate, but also interns of six month tops of having graduated and would like to present results of a scientific-technological research work done jointly with an advisor.
In his message, Dr. Lucio Martínez celebrated the reunion of so many young students not only from UG but from other higher level educational institutions, who all share the passion for research that goes –he warned—with social responsibility.
Such social responsibility, he reiterated, implies that all research not only brings the own benefit but an impact on society: making things right because UG is a referent of the righteous, the true, what is right and truth, hence, he exhorted the youth to pursue their dreams.
The encounter unveils this Wednesday Sept 21 and concludes on Sept 22nd in the Auditorium and Magnus spaces of Campus Guanajuato from UG, with the awards for the first places of every themed area.
At the opening ceremony was present Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca; as well as M.A. Gabriel Alejandro Andrew Riquel, General Coordinator of Academic Development of Campus Guanajuato representing the Rector of Campus, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera and M.A. Carlos Alberto Bernal Martínez, Chief of Research representing Dr. Mauro Napsuciale Mendivil, Director of Support of Research and Postgraduate of the University of Guanajuato.
On his part, M.A. José Ricardo Narváez Ramírez, Director of the Superior Technological Institute of Irapuato, sustained that according data from the National Council of Science and Technology, there is a census of more than seven thousand young researchers in the country, with doctorates and post-doctorates, all under 43 years-old; but still is necessary to continue encouraging students in research and postgraduate studies to contribute to the development of the country with the development of knowledge.
