León, Gto., September 21, 2016.- The venue San Carlos of Campus Leon was the stage for the presentation of the book "Perspectiva de género en la práctica educative de la Universidad de Guanajuato. Aproximaciones feministas," material that joints efforts of scholars from the University of Guanajuato (UG).

In the text, the collaborators contribute from their area of knowledge a panorama of diverse situations and social problems that describe inequality in different social dynamics.

The work is composed of 11 chapters that offer the reader a diagnosis and scenarios where violence on women is reflected in addition that you can find topics related with migration, social activism, feminism, domestic workers, among others. Equally, it has the contribution of students and graduates of the educational program of Digital Arts of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca with the documentary "Las Miques" where they explore the life of four women who experience gender inequality.

At the book presentation, there was the presence of the 10 professors who contributed in the text, Dr. Teodora Hurtado Saa, Dr. Ivy Jacaranda Jasso, researchers from the Department of Social Studies of Campus Leon and Dr. Yessica Ivet Cienfuegos Martínez, researcher from the Department of Psychology from the same Campus. Also present, Dr. Verónica Vázquez Piña and Lic. Margarita López Mondragón, who were in charge of commenting the text.

In an interview with Vanessa Góngora Cervantes, professor researcher at the Department of Public Management of the Division of Law, Politics and Government of Campus Guanajuato and one of the two coordinators of the book, commented that the researchers seek to view the contributions that have been done in the topic, such as the participation of students and professors for social transformation.

The group of experts coincided in the necessity to address the topic for the circumstances lived in our country and the responsibility that they have as generators of knowledge, besides offering the reader a document that allows reflection and action to become an agent of change in benefit of a more equal society.
