Guanajuato, Gto., September 23, 2016. During the First Ordinary Session of the Director Council of the System of Innovation of the State of Guanajuato, the University of Guanajuato (UG), joined the commissions of Scientific and Technological Encouragement and Coverage and Quality in the Higher Education.
At the session was present UG's Academic Secretary, Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, who attended representing the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, member of the Consultant Council, organ integrated by members of the higher education institutions, the state and federal government, as well as businessmen.
The reunion was presided by the Technical Secretary of the Director Council of the System of Innovation of the State of Guanajuato and Secretary of Innovation, Science and Higher Education, Dr. Arturo Lara López, who requested the councilmen for their support to integrate the Council of Expert Advisors, which will be composed by five businessmen and five scholars. For that, they will receive proposals until September 30th.
At the beginning, Dr. Lara made a presentation of the main indicators in matter of innovation, to align the challenges and areas of opportunities that the state faces, as well as the actors that can support in fulfilling the planned goals.
Besides, he revealed the number of projects that are considered to encourage science, technology and innovation.
In the session, the members approved the request to integrate the Department of Health as a permanent guest in the Director Council.
