
Guanajuato, Gto., September 26, 2016.- Before dozens of artists from Guanajuato and foreign, as well as public who attended this September 26th to Teatro Juárez, the painter and engraver Jesús Gallardo was awarded with the recognition Guanajuato Pride FIC and the medal "Maestro Eugenio Trueba."
With strong applause the founder of the School of Plastic Arts of the University of Guanajuato received the award from hands of the scholar and writer Eugenio Trueba Olivares and the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino.
"I know that artists like you and M.A. Eugenio Trueba are reluctant to knowledge, but I must say that your valuable work is already part of the cultural treasure of the town," assured the General Rector of our maximum house of studies, at the same time that remarked the pride and reiterated the commitment with the artists in the called "holiday of the spirit."
In the same event, the musician Manuel Alejandro Ramírez Rodríguez, representing the Youth Symphony Orchestra Silvestre Revueltas from the Conservatory of Celaya, received the award for young talent.
To honor such award, a quartet led by the young violinist, pleased the attendees with the popular tango "Pro una cabeza," proving that the Youth Symphony Orchestra Silvestre Revueltas has been encouraging young talents for eleven years.
From October 2 to 23 the attendants will be able to enjoy prestige groups such as the Symphony Band of the State of Guanajuato next to Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán; the trio Guanaxteco, with sonnets of Sierra Gorda and the Huasteca; the Camerata Silvestre Revueltas; the Youth Symphony Orchestra Silvestre Revueltas and the Youth Choir of the Conservatory of Celaya; the pianist Ana Cervantes; the Baroque Ensemble of UG; Solar Quartet, Rodolfo Ponce Motero; Trio Umami; Capella Guanajuatensis.
Besides dance and theater projects such as the Contemporary Circus NEO Multidisciplinary Dance; Theater of Dreams; Elena Makhnev; Center of Dance Company and Victrola Sonorousa, in addition of a project of visual arts in charge of the Graphic Workshop of the Center of Arts of Guanajuato.
Guanajuato Pride FIC is an event organized by the State Government for 3 years, through the State Institute of Culture and has the common end to recognize and encourage the artists from Guanajuato that will participate in the International Festival Cervantino and whose trajectory has influenced in the culture of the capital.
