
Guanajuato, Gto., September 29, 2016. As part of the strategic alliances that the University of Guanajuato (UG) has established to offer a comprehensive formation to its students, the link with the Youth Institute from Guanajuato (Guanajoven) was formalized by signing a collaboration agreement.
The agreement represents a parting point to start actions in matter of research, promotion, information exchanges, social service and professional practices, in addition of specific agreements for the development of joint products.
With these efforts, they seek to form citizens that influence in the transformation of society, as revealed by the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, who reminded that the institution has more than 36,000 students.
Guanajoven's Director, Lic. Jorge Alberto Romero Vázquez, expressed that the Institute he is responsible of has sought to associate with a very participative sector: the university one, hence, the relevance of this agreement of the Maximum House of Studies of the state.
The Youth Institute of Guanajuato seeks to support entrepreneurs in a business and social sense, that contribute to the transformation of the communities. The intention –explained Lic. Romero—is that UG encourages the youth to develop their life projects.
The participation of college students would be framed in three main axes: social service, projects in communities and participation in the summons from Guanajoven, pointed by the Rector of Campus Leon, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez.
The Coordinator of Liaison from Campus Leon, M.A. Laura Aurora Lozano Fuentes, revealed that this agreement with Guanajoven was an initiative of Campus Leon, but given the importance of its reach, the General Rectory decided to extend it to the four university campus.
From UG, attended the agreement signing: the director of Student Development, M.A. José Osvaldo Chávez Rodríguez; the Legal liaison of Camus Leon, Lic. Rebeca Jazmin Bokits Márquez and the responsible of Graduate Follow Up of the Liaison Coordination of Campus Leon.
Guanajoven's Delegation was composed by the Responsible of Liaison, Maria José Gallardo López; the Director of Regional Coordinations, Lic. Ángeles Hernández Jara; the Director of Development and Participation, Lic. Emmanuel Gómez Marmolejo, and the Particular Secretary, Lic. María del Rosario Montenegro González.
