
León, Gto., September 29, 2016.- The outstanding transdisciplinary artist, photographer and poet, Juan José Díaz Infante, will visit campus Leon of the University of Guanjauato (UG) to give a conference where he will address relevant aspects on the works he participates in taking as reference three of his most significant projects: "Ulises I, Tuc uerpo, mi cuerpo," poem that is part of the project of "La gravedad de los asuntos" and "Don Quijote dialoga con el caballero de la blanca luna y de regreso a la realidad."
"Ulises I" is an esthetic, scientific and technological project, known as an art piece and space musical instrument that was designed by a Mexican collective led by Díaz Infante.
"La gravedad de los asuntos" is a poetic action done in a Russian military aircraft also done by a group of Mexican artists that addresses topics related to the study of space in the context of visual arts.
In the case of "Don Quijote dialoga con el caballero de la blanca luna y de regreso a la realidad," is an artistic proposal that explores the cosmos through an electromagnetic wave that will be launched to the moon in the XLIV FIC.
Previous to the intervention of Díaz Infante, Dr. Maria Eugenia Rabadán, professor-researcher at the Department of Cultural Studies of Campus León will participate in the conference to analyze the origins of Net Art in Mexico, besides offering a wide panorama of the most important artistic projects in the local, national and international level.
In an interview, Dr. Rabadán commented that the Díaz Infante's visit allows the students to know the innovative proposals of one of the most important characters of our time, likewise, approach the students to the collective projects of Net Art in Mexico and other countries.
