Guanajuato, Gto., September 28, 2016.- With the objective to contribute to the comprehensive development of professionals in the areas of quality and productivity, students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) begin the project "KAIZEN."

KAIZEN is a Japanese word, which has the philosophy of discipline, it translates into "continuous improvement," and was used as a reference for this student organization, as revealed by the student Isabel Arroyo, who leads the project.

This is an initiative of students from the degree in Administration of Quality and Productivity, of Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences, Campus Guanajuato from UG.

The members are: KAIZEN's President, María Isabel Arroyo Molina; Vice President, Victor Fabián Guerrero Chávez; responsible of the Director's Council, Raymundo Díaz Espinosa, Miriam Magali Miranda and Sebastián Erasmo Moreno Delgado; as well as Brenda Mora Vázquez, Director of Encouragement to Culture and Sports.

"This project is developed by the shared uneasiness of my peers to create a space where the students had a forum to express their questions and at the same time propose solutions with social impact," as mentioned by Isabel Arroyo.

This initiative is diversified in four trends: environmental impact; social action, educational encouragement; and encouragement to culture and sports. To promote in these axes, the citric, plural, creative and participative spirit.

Isabel Arroyo assured that this group seeks to collaborate with other institutions and diverse areas of knowledge making use of quality tools and productivity, to generate an impact on the approach, accepting and recognition of the university community.

One of the first activities of the KAIZEN project consists in the presentation of the main conference with the subject of Quality Management System ISO 9001/2015, given by the Coordinator of Certification of Management Systems of the Mexican Institute of Normalization and Certification (INMC), which will be held on October 18th in the Magnus Classrooms of Campus Guanajuato, at 12:00hrs.

There will be the participation of the students of the degree in Agricultural Management of the National School of Higher Studies (ENES) Unit Leon of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), as well as students from the Division of Economic Administrative Sciences from UG.

The conference will be at 14:30hrs in the Efraín Gómez Duran auditorium, venue Noria Alta from UG, to contribute in the multidisciplinary development of the students of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences and the Division of Engineering of this house of studies.

To give continuity to these type of activities in diverse areas, there will be other activities during the semester, some of the are the Grammar and punctuation workshop, FIFA 2016 (videogame) Tournament and the Ecological Rally.

The University of Guanajuato supports its students in their activities for a comprehensive development, that at the same time have a social impact to solve questions and search in opportunity areas in the region.
