León, Gto., September 30, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato Campus Leon will be present in three important events: From October 2 – 7, the LIX National Congress of Physics and the XXXI National Encounter of Scientific Divulgation. The first will have Poliforum Leon as a scenario and the second will be held in the venue Forum of the Campus. On Oct 5, 6 and 7 there are activities scheduled from the XLIV National Congress of the National Academy of Medicine of Mexico, titled "Controversy topics in health," that will be held in Poliforum Leon.

In the XLIV National Congress of the National Academy of Medicine of Mexico global health topics will be known, with the contributions from the academics of Campus Leon and experts in the locality and other entities. They'll analyze contents such as addictions, accidents and violent deaths, medical education, translational medicine, high blood pressure, public health, adapting of the health systems to the needs of the elders, among others.

In the same fashion, there will be main conferences that handle the issues "Science and humanism in medicine" and "Neurodegenerative diseases. The demographic and epidemiologic transition." Likewise, they seek to promote the study, teaching and the research in the field of Medicine, hence, they organized workshops and symposiums aimed for professionals and students in the health area.

In the LIX National Congress of Physics will participate researchers and scientists from diverse institutions of the country to offer a space for knowledge with issues as research in basic and applied physics, instrumenting, history and philosophy of Physics.

There will be 11 plenary sessions, 1,109 works will be presented in 23 simultaneous sessions and 4 mural sessions, 2 round-tables, one of them where they'll have as main theme the physics and the industry, and another aimed to the creation of materials and new technologies. Equally, they will offer a workshop aimed for young scientists to promote entrepreneurism. They expect two thousand participants in the event among students, researchers and professionals from related areas.

In the XXXI National Encounter of Scientific Divulgation they will develop courses, workshops, and conferences for all the public, in addition of artistic activities.

The objective of this encounter is to approach the general community and explore relevant aspects of science in such way that the attendants realize that science is not that complicated as it looks. The event is the result of a joint work between the University of Guanajuato and the Research Center in Optics A.C. (CIO).
