Celaya, Gto., September 30, 2016.- As part of the continuous training to the members of the Program of Interdisciplinary Attention to Healtd (PAIS) of the Div. of Health Sciences and Engineering of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato (UG), they received professional formation from the city's DIF.

This activity has the objective to sensitize the issue in the health professionals, who received patients with a disability: motor, intellectual, visual or hearing.

Ángel Castro, promoter of life inclusion, offered a talk to the main coordinators of PAIS, and focused its activity on proposal, living or reflexive activities on how to treat people with a disability.

PAIS' Operative Coordinator, Lic. David López, mentioned that "we comprehensively attend the patients that come to the institution and we consider convenient to train in how to attend the people with some disability, but we never thought that this workshop would change our life."

The instructor Ángel Castro, explained that to understand the disability, it is necessary to live it, because this way the experience of being in front of it allows a greater sensitivity in the issue.

The dynamic made by the members consisted in using a wheelchair, crotches or a walker and go out to the street to know in the flesh and bone the despair looks of the walkers in the sidewalks, the panic of being lonely when crossing the street.

As part of their activities as promoter of the inclusion to life, he goes to hospitals, work centers, government dependencies to transmit culture and values, such as respect, tolerance towards people with a disability.

Members of PAIS that took the course, said to be satisfied with the experience and the learning of the same. They highlighted that they are left with a task to sensitize the community of the campus Celaya-Salvatierra.

This year, PAIS has attended more than 400 people among children, youth and adults, and has evolved as an alternative of health in the city of Celaya and nearby places under the preventive action mainly to people with low income.
